Just came back today from a 3D2N camp with the youths.
Was quite stressed over the planning and all, with the little amount of time I had and the busy schedule, and I'm not the planning type of person myself. But thank God, there's Yifen, Andrew, Eugene and Wai to help with advice and to do some tasks. And also some of the youths and Maria who helped out with some other tasks which were just as important also.
Wai, Andrew and myself taught for this camp. We taught from the epistle of Philippians. Wai took most of the lessons and Andrew and myself took one each. For Andrew it was his first time teaching in such a manner, and for myself it was my third time teaching like this.
Actually, for me it's the most organised one (but still FAR from what I want to aim for) as compared to the other two (the listeners of the two can testify to that), and I think it did help to learn along the way from people like David Jackman and all about teaching from the bible. Hope to be able to continue to learn and practise more along the way. Certainly am very thankful to God for the many many many chances I have to teach, though I'd better try my best to improve: don't want the youths not to understand in the end...which'd defeat the main purpose of the study liao.
The last time I learnt from Philippians under WS (which was the first time for me also) I had a 'theme' for that year personally: to be others'-centered.
This time, it'll be this:
Philippians 1:27-30
May God help us all to grow in knowing Christ, both individually and together as one.

Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel, and not frightened in anything by your opponents. This is a clear sign to them of their destruction, but of your salvation, and that from God. For it has been granted to you that for the sake of Christ you should not only believe in him but also suffer for his sake, engaged in the same conflict that you saw I had and now hear that I still have.
May God help us all to grow in knowing Christ, both individually and together as one.

Hey, glad that you have the oppurtunity to teach in this manner :) And glad too that this was a learning experience for ya :) hehe... interesting that I know all of the people who helped you quite well :p I've opened up my heart to all of them one time or another... hehe... ;) though i saw eugene as a recent wedding, didn't get to talk much as we were at different tables. Well, send all of them my regards and hey, one of these days, I might just drop by to visit everyone :)
Are you feeling better this week?
