After many many years, as far back as I can remember since primary school, up till now, I've realised for quite some time that I don't really know anybody, and the reverse, I think it's true too.
Not that there's nobody that I trust, or that I don't regard anybody as having a relation with; but that I don't really know anybody, who they really are, etc.
Of course there're people that I'm close to, but that changes everytime (not that that was one of the points, on whether that is supposed to happen or not), and that I know their mannerisms, preferences, etc. But, after all these, I still come back to the same point.
Not that this is a why-can't-I-have-friends-like-other-people-do time of thinking, but even within God's family, how are we to relate to fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, and even with people who haven't come to the faith (yet)?
What is it then?
It may be just overly high expectations or what, but, I'm not going to settle for just anything, till...I hear the truth.

That's the conundrum that we face as Christians in this world- loving our brothers and sisters when we don't 'click' or rub each other up the wrong way. Keep bearing with them, bro, because we're commanded in Scripture to bear with one another and love one another. If we don't then no one will come to Christ! (John 13:34-35)

well.. do hope ya read this... anyway, at one point of time, i did find it very hard to trust people.. then gradually, i learnt to open up.. but still, of course i dun open up everything.. then lately, i grew very skeptical of ppl cos of e ppl i meet.. but oh well.. we have to try to be true still, no matter how ppl act and hopefully, we can be salt and light of the world.. tough.. i think friendship takes time to build.. sometimes, a little chemistry is needed.. and true, ppl may have ulterior motives for being friends with you but no matter what, i believe that true friends do exist.. and time will tell who your true friends are.. but i also think, sometimes, you may need to give people a chance to be your friend, just to be a friend.. may many close friendships come your way and may my friendship with you grow too.. =)
