How To Write Unmaintainable Code

How To Write Unmaintainable Code

Really funny, yet painfully true (when we're on the receiving end of the 'merits' of writing such code) sometimes.

PS: It's not meant to be followed.

Start Right, Continue Right, End Right

When the dead are raised, it is a wonderful thing. This done not by our own effort, but solely by God's.

And the lesson in John 8 comes clearly: it's important to start off right by trusting in Jesus' words regarding himself, but it's equally important to carry on being grounded and growing in his word, really really important.

This warning couldn't come at a better time for myself, to obey Jesus as Lord and not to ignore him in the way I live my life, since I've already declared my faith in him.

Worried sick

So many things happening at the same time, so little time...

...but the most worrying of all, is the fact that many around are facing various things, and the most I can do for them is to guess, and pray...

Giving up on everything certainly has crossed my mind before, but it's not taken because I know the God that we've come to believe in has everything within his control still, and the task he's called us to is something that will not fail in the very end.

Simply Sick

All deserve to die, and burn in hell.

Including all Christians, we all deserve to die, and burn in hell.

Especially me.

What can cure this sick man of his illness? The stupidity of going against the God who created us in the first place....warring against other countries, against our colleagues, against our friends, against our relatives, against our own family, against God himself...

This stupidity is resolved only in two ways:

in receiving the just punishment we deserve,

or

in God working in us by putting his spirit in us, so that we can trust in the one other person who took the punishment on our behalf.

Just sick, really sick, really.

Temporary Hiatus

Dear readers,

Wellllll...I will be continuing in my efforts to make better use of my time (to read, and to do stuff that're beneficial, not just mindless), so one of the things is that I'll pause (not stop!) blogging for the time being, unless I really do have the time or the reason to.

Not saying that blogging is what Christians shouldn't be doing, but some things are more important than others, and for me in my current circumstances blogging would probably have to go for the time being (I only have 24 hours a day. Any suggestions to extend time to 26 hours a day or more are welcome =D ).

I'm still very much contactable at my email address <gunblad3@gmail.com>, so do drop me an email or comment here if you'd wish to know when I do update again =) Or alternatively you could suscribe to my Atom feed.

Meanwhile, may the grace of God in Jesus Christ be with you all, till He comes again to judge the living and the dead.

Bad Language / How to concentrate on writing

Bad Language / How to concentrate on writing

1. Switch off email.
2. Isolate myself.
3. Greed and guilt.
4. Stop with the blog already.
5. Get up early.
6. Little treats.
7. Chunking.
8. Go full screen.
9. Shitty first draft.
10. Change location.

Some tips on concentrating when need be ;) Think some of these are exactly what I should try, like the full screen thingy =P

I think this is pretty cool actually, and maybe even cheaper than getting proper covers? May come in handy in the future. =P

Urgent

Learning from today's bible study, am reminded again about the unpleasantness of the message to non-believers...

...and even more unpleasant is the outcome of those who don't trust in the name of Jesus at the end...

I certainly do not want my friends to end up that way...and time IS short, we could go any moment, really.

Urgent, urgent!

Failed

I failed my IPPT today! My stamina got me killed this time man, failed the 2.4km run portion, horribly.

Oh well, not that I've never failed before, fail in many things many times liao, and those are far more important to worry about than this one.

Not sure whether will need to go for RT or not, but I think maybe no need eh. Check and see how...

Edit: No need to do RT! Those who're studying in institutes of higher learning no need to take RT =P better train hard for next year liao...and continue to work hard at taking care of the things that really do matter.
